Level Up Social Shares
In the Google Local Guides program, users can contribute to Google Maps with reviews/photos/edits etc. By doing so, they gain points that lead to leveling up in the program. When they level up, they receive an email notifying them of their new level. Users get very excited when they receive these emails and they love to share their news on their social media feeds. We wanted to share the excitement with them, so we updated the social sharing assets. Each GIF is a level specified to locations that will hopefully inspire users to continue searching/sharing unique experiences on Google Maps.

Level 2 represent our city dweller users
Level 3 show the users that like to get out and get dirty
Level 4 reflects the extreme outdoorsy types
Level 5 are the calmer outdoorsy types
Level 6 reflect users who are night crawlers
Level 7 show users who are willing to go far and wide
Level 8 are users who prefer the educational visits (monuments and museums)
Level 9 represents the more luxurious experiences
Level 10 is pretty difficult to achieve, so we wanted this to be a trophy/memory room of all the things they’ve accomplished so far.
